FAQ

Here we are collecting a non-exhaustive list of questions ranked with no priority that we received so far – check them out, they may be useful!

I am presenting a poster. Should I print it before the conference?

Yes. You are responsible for printing your poster and bring it to the conference site. If you want to print it in Paris, many printing services are available all over the city. However, we do not have experience with any specific company.

What size should my poster be?

Your poster should have a maximum size of 84.1 cm (width) x 118.9 cm (height) (A0 vertical format). We will not be able to display a poster in horizontal A0 format as it will not fit on the poster board.

When can I put my poster on display, and when to present it?

Your poster will be on display the whole day for which you have been selected (either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday) in the common area where coffee breaks and lunch take place. Please put up your poster early in the day, by 9:00 AM, in your allocated space (your slot number corresponds to the number of your poster in the program, check the poster program). The registration desk can assist you if you have any inquiry. Please also pick up your poster at the end of the day, as the space will be used for another poster on the next day.

For posters scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday, a dedicated poster session will take place from 6:15pm to 7:00pm. This session consists in commenting your poster and explaining the details to the conference participants who will come to look at it. However, you are encouraged to discuss your poster with participants during the whole day.

I am presenting a poster and I have to provide the link to the pdf by May 21st. Can I modify the poster afterward?

We need the link by May 21st to incorporate it into the program. You may update your pdf afterward as long as the provided link remains valid. However, we cannot guarantee that versions updated after May 21st will be on the iPads at the conference.

I am presenting a poster and I have to provide the link to the pdf by May 21st. Are there any constraints on where to host my poster pdf?

No, you can upload wherever you want as long as the link remains valid until the end of the conference.

I registered to NetSci and I will present an oral contribution at the main conference, can I present a talk at a Satellite Meeting?
Yes, as long as it is not the same talk. You can also present at several Satellite Meetings.

My contribution to the main conference has not been accepted (or has been accepted as a poster), will you transfer it automatically to the Satellite Meeting of my interest?
No, we cannot do that, Satellite Meetings are organized independently and each has different rules and dates for their call for contribution (if any). Also, we do not know your interests. We encourage you to submit your work to the Satellite Meeting of your interest.

I need an invitation letter for visa purposes, can you provide one?
You can ask for the invitation letter during the registration process. There will be a field specifically for that request.

I am not receiving information on my contribution, while my co-authors are, how come?

This is likely because you were not indicated as one of the corresponding authors of your submission.

I have a contribution accepted to the main conference, is there any possibility for you to cover part of my local expenses, such as the registration fee?
We are deeply sorry but at the moment we do not have the possibility to offer partial sponsorships. We hope that you do find support and come to Paris to present your work.

I would like to register for one day only of the main conference.
Unfortunately, this is not possible. One-day or two-day registrations are only allowed for Satellite Meetings. Participation in the main conference requires the registration for the full week.

When will I receive information on my poster, e.g. size, session, submission of a video?
As communicated in the notification to authors, you will receive further instructions by the Poster co-Chairs once the program is published.

When will the program of the main conference be published?
The scientific program is available HERE

When will the program of the Satellite Meetings be published?
Each Satellite Meeting is organized independently, you should check their website for further information.

I am organizing a Satellite Meeting and I would like to split the registration waiver I received for two of my invited speakers as they will only stay for the Satellite and not attend the main conference.

Unfortunately, this is not possible, the registration waiver should be used for one registration only. There is, however, the possibility to register for 1 day or 2 days for Satellite Meeting only.
