Young Initiative
for Best Talk Pitch
The Young Initiative is meant to award the quality of the research contributed by a young researcher while recognizing her/his ability to explain and present the results.
The selection will be based on the submission of a 1-minute video presenting the research of a contributed abstract selected for an oral presentation.
Eligible candidates: PhD students, young post-docs (PhD + 3 years).
Award:

3 prizes will be awarded: 500$ to the 1st classified, 330$ to the 2nd, 170$ to the 3rd.

publication of the videos on NetSci Society web page.
Mechanisms and selection criteria:

eligible candidates will submit an abstract to the Call for Abstracts;

eligible candidates will additionally indicate in the submitted abstract that they compete for the NetSci Young Initiative for Best Talk Pitch and provide the URL of their 1-minute video and a one-page CV (one single PDF file: abstract+CV);

eligible video submissions will be considered only among the ones associated to abstracts selected for oral contributions (i.e. videos associated to submitted abstracts that are not selected as contributions or are selected as posters will not be allowed to participate in the Young Initiative competition);

selection will be performed by a Young Initiatives Committee (to be appointed) based on the quality of the research and of its presentation.
